Commitment to Diversity
As a woman-owned and operated company, we take diversity very seriously. Our clients often ask us to recruit a panel of candidates that reflects the diversity of the residents and community members they serve. They recognize that a variety of backgrounds and perspectives leads to a broader range of ideas and approaches to the work, which creates a stronger, more nimble organization.
As with other areas of the search business, building diverse teams is part art, part science. Our approach to building diversity includes several steps:
We work closely with our clients in a variety of ways to create an attractive culture for diversity, and to attract a high-performing, diverse staff that functions well as a team. We are proud that one-third of our placements are people of color.

As with other areas of the search business, building diverse teams is part art, part science. Our approach to building diversity includes several steps:
- Understanding the client’s strategy for creating an office environment welcoming to candidates of all genders, ethnicities, skin colors, religions, disabilities and sexual orientations, so we can correctly articulate that strategy to prospective employees. Offering feedback to our clients on how that message resonates in the market.
- Posting on job sites targeted toward professionals of BIPOC groups.
- Spreading the word through targeted LinkedIn groups and networking groups.
- Emphasizing the client’s commitment to attracting a diverse pool of candidates in all outreach on the search.
- Identifying and conducting source calls with individuals who are particularly connected with diverse communities:
- Leaders of minority professional associations
- Senior executives in the same functional area who are members of diverse communities
- Corporate and academic diversity officers
- Identifying diverse candidates through exhaustive research on LinkedIn and other internet sources.
